Re Learning letters - A - F

Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Alhamdulillah, since we began home educating, we have always tried to incorporate Islamic elements in our school, from the very beginning while our older children were still learning their alphabets, we have always added a prophet or companion story  or an Islamic concept with every letter ,for example, with letter A, we did the story of prophet Adam and with B we did about Bilal raa, with C we talked Creator and  His creations and D we  did about prophet Dawud and so on...and we continued this with all our children Alhamdulillah.

However lately, after following sister Hana from www.pepperandpine.com (@pepperandpine on instagram), and being inspired by her, we decided to integrate some of her interesting methods in our homeschool.

Our 5 yo and 7 yo have both already mastered the letters Alhamdulillah , while one is still learning to write short sentences and learning spellings  and the other has just started to write small passages, we still decided to redo our letters. We weren't very sure as to how the children will accept it but interestingly the children are both game for it and  enjoying the relearning process.

This time, we decided to stick to only the prophetic stories. We assigned one letter per week. We begin with the narration of the story and then we discuss it, we  have the 7 yo write a little about the story or sometimes have them both narrate it back to us in their own words. and then we proceed to make the chalk drawing and we discuss the art and search for the hidden letter. They also do some work with the main words from the story and frame sentences with those words Alhamdulillah.

chalk drawing and the crayon  works for letters A-F
Letter A:
Story : Sulaiman A.S and the ant
Key words:  ants, anthill, army

Letter B:
Story : Musa A.S as a baby
Keywords : baby, brother,  basket

Letter C:
Story:  Story of revelation
keyword : cave

Letter D:
Story:  Story of Uzair a.s
keyword : donkey, death

Letter E:
Story:  Year of the elephant
keyword : elephant

Letter F:
Story:  Story of Ibraheem a.s
keyword : faith, fire, flames

Insha Allah ,  will try to keep updating as much as possible.

Jazakumullahu khairan
