UMRAH
Umrah Journal For Kids
Growing up in Saudi Arabia, we had a lot of opportunity for performing Umrah. Alhamdulillah. Almost once a year we made a road trip to visit the two Holy cities of Makkah and Madinah .
There is no better way to explain the trips than to experience it.
When we left home and we would carry our little notepads with us. We would note down everywhere we made a stop , we noted down the time and the purpose for the stop, we noted down what we ate, where we rested, when we reached the meeqat and how long it took us all to get in ihram, when we reached the Haram and about the hotel etc.
We didn't have any premade journal for it but we did what we could to jot down our memories and read through.
I have fond memories of when dad would drive way over the speed limit on the open road so that we would reach Makkah in time for Salatul Eid. He would drive all night through. The trips when we left before Salatul Fajr and mom (May Allah forgive her and grant her Al Firdous) would prepare a good sizzling breakfast and hot tea over the little stout portable stove, roadside. Stopping for Salah in the middle of the open empty desertland n dad calling out the Adhaan.
The journeys were always filled with amazing memories. The stops at meeqat, the excitement spotting the minarets of the HARAMAIN while entering the Haram boundary . The overwhelming feeling of submission and the tears of joy when seeing the Kaaba every time and feeling the coolness and the love in the streets in Madinah. The amazing trips to the historical places, the place where the Quran was first revealed, where the battles fought , where the Prophet and his companion hid on the way to Madinah., where the the first mosque was built, where the direction of Qibla was changed. In the car to these amazing places Dad and Mom would educate us, explain to us the historical events at the site.
There was something about it, it just never got old.💙.
May Allah swt grant us the chance to do the same with our children.

This Ramadan , my dear friend was on the way to Umrah and she asked me for some kids activity sheets to keep them busy during the last 10 days in the Haram, I decided to make a small journal booklet for the children. Insha Allah it will be beneficial for them.
The journal will have to be printed double sided on an A4 size sheet to form the booklet as designed.
I decided to upload it on scribd, it may be benefit others too Insha Allah.

I truly hope it benefits whoever decidesto use it. Hope it becomes a source of Sadaqa Jariya for my parents. Insha Allah. May Allah accept every deed little or big and grant us forgiveness in this Holy month.
If you read this please make duaa for my father and my family and a duaa of maghfirah for my mother.
Jazakallahu Khairan
