Sinking or Floating 

For one of our recent science class we decided to do some experimenting rather than just watching videos or learning kinds.....so we decided to go start with a basic topic - Sink and Float.

The simple  concept was : Heavy things sink and light things float....

It was another messy activity with my littlest one interrupting and enjoying playing in the water and splashing it all over  (that's something very different about him..... he will play with all the water in the world but he hates taking a bath...I really dont understand why)

I couldn't find any plastic transparent tub at home so I used this Storewell plastic storage box in which kids usually keep their blocks....I emptied it .... filled it half with water and gave them a couple of things to experiment with......  

I had to set the box on the table and push all the chairs away....

Alhamdulillah It was a fun activity even A1and A2 enjoyed a lot.... It was fun watching the kids feeling really important and grown up noting down their very own study and then later explain the whole experience to Dad all at once ...... 

Insha Allah we plan to do more such experiments ..... will post them as and when its done Insha Allah.
